Thunder Blade on the Master System is a decent port of Sega’s arcade helicopter shooter, but man, you can tell it’s missing that sweet "Super Scaler" 3D effect from the original. Instead of those towering cityscapes that felt like they had real depth, you get flat, blocky buildings—still fun to blow up, just not as impressive.

You’re basically flying through waves of enemy choppers and tanks, dodging fire while trying to line up shots. The controls are simple—shoot, drop bombs, and try not to crash into stuff—but some of the later levels get surprisingly tough. It’s got that classic Sega arcade feel, just don’t go in expecting the full arcade experience.

If you’re into old-school shooters, it’s a solid time killer, but maybe not the first one I’d grab off the shelf.
