Okay, so The Wild Thornberrys Movie on GBA is basically like playing through the movie—but with that classic early 2000s handheld jank. You control Eliza (and sometimes Donnie, because chaos) as they trek through jungles, solve simple puzzles, and talk to animals. The sprites are surprisingly decent for a licensed game, and yeah, it nails the show’s vibe—right down to Nigel’s over-the-top narration.
Gameplay’s a mix of platforming and fetch quests, with some weirdly satisfying moments, like using Eliza’s animal-speak ability to get past obstacles. Don’t expect anything groundbreaking, but if you grew up with the show, it’s a nostalgia trip. Just don’t be shocked when the camera angles fight you more than the actual enemies. Still, it’s one of the better Nickelodeon tie-ins from that era.
Also, pro tip: save often. The monkeys are not your friends.
