Remember that old GBA game based on The Wild Thornberrys movie? Yeah, the one where you play as Eliza running around jungles and savannas, talking to animals and solving puzzles. It’s got that classic early 2000s licensed-game vibe—simple platforming, some basic item collecting, and a few mini-games thrown in. Not gonna lie, it’s not the deepest game out there, but if you were a fan of the show, there’s something weirdly charming about controlling Eliza and Donnie while Nigel yells about wildlife in the background.
You’ll mostly jump over pits, avoid hazards (because of course there are quicksand pits), and use Eliza’s animal-speak ability to get past obstacles. The graphics are about what you’d expect—bright, cartoony, and a little rough by today’s standards. Still, it’s a fun little nostalgia trip if you grew up with the Thornberrys.
And hey, at least it’s not another shovelware movie tie-in disaster. It’s playable, which is more than you can say for some licensed games from that era.
