The Simpsons - Bart Vs. The Space Mutants Game

Man, this game is peak early '90s Simpsons chaos. You play as Bart, obviously, running around Springfield trying to expose these aliens who are pretending to be regular people—except they're hilariously bad at blending in (purple skin? Really?). The first level's all about spraying paint on anything purple because... well, the aliens hate that color for some reason. Classic NES logic.
It's way harder than it looks. The controls are kinda janky, and that slingshot feels weirdly underpowered when you're getting swarmed by mutant clowns or whatever. But there's something charming about how aggressively weird it is—like when you have to collect balloons in the mall level while dodging security guards. The pixel art nails the show's style though, and hearing those 8-bit Simpsons sound effects never gets old.
Definitely one of those "love it because it's broken" retro experiences. Just don't throw your controller when you die to the same UFO for the tenth time.
