Okay, so The Scorpion King: Sword of Osiris is one of those movie tie-in games that actually doesn’t suck. It’s a GBA side-scroller where you play as the Rock’s character (well, a pixel version of him) slashing through ancient Egypt with a sword and some surprisingly decent combat.
First thing you’ll notice? The animations are smooth—WayForward knew what they were doing. You’ve got basic combos, a double jump, and even a weird scorpion summon attack that feels oddly satisfying. The levels throw in some light platforming, traps, and the occasional puzzle, but mostly it’s just hack-and-slash with a bit of that old-school Prince of Persia vibe.
It’s short, yeah, but the bosses are legit challenging, and the music’s got this cheesy, epic feel that somehow works. If you’re into GBA action games, this one’s a solid hidden gem. Just don’t expect deep lore—it’s basically "The Rock fights skeletons in the desert: The Game."
