About The Revenge Of Shinobi
I picked up The Revenge of Shinobi for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, a time when the handheld was full of arcade-style action games. THQ published this one, and it was a port of an older Sega title, bringing a classic ninja adventure to a portable screen. It fit right in with the kind of fast-paced, challenging games I was carrying around in my pocket back then.
You control the ninja Joe Musashi, moving through levels screen by screen to rescue your kidnapped master. Your main tools are a sword for close combat and a limited supply of shurikens for attacking from a distance. You also have a special ninja magic meter, which lets you unleash screen-clearing attacks when things get too crowded. The game is known for its brisk pacing and considerable difficulty, demanding quick reflexes to parry enemy strikes and navigate environmental hazards. Navigating the stages and managing your resources against relentless foes creates a tense, focused experience.
