Okay, so imagine House of the Dead—zombies, shotguns, cheesy voice acting—but as a pinball game. That’s The Pinball of the Dead for GBA. You’ve got flippers launching a silver ball through graveyards and labs, smacking into zombies and bosses straight out of the original games. Dr. Curien even shows up as a mini-boss, which is a weirdly fun touch.
At first, I thought it’d just be a reskin of some generic pinball physics, but nah—they actually built ramps and targets around iconic moments, like the magician boss fight or those creepy mutant dogs. The ball even feels weighty, like you’re really smacking it through a horror movie. Weirdly addictive once you get into it.
If you’ve played House of the Dead, half the fun is spotting the references. If you haven’t, it’s still a solid pinball game with way more personality than most.
