The Lost Vikings for Game Boy Advance came out in 2003, published by Blizzard Entertainment. It was a port of a much older SNES game, arriving on a handheld already crowded with platformers and RPGs. You control three kidnapped Vikings, Olaf, Baleog, and Erik, who were snatched from their longship by an alien named Tomator. Your goal is to guide them through dozens of puzzle filled levels, all the way back to their own time.

You switch between the three Vikings, using their unique abilities to solve environmental puzzles. Erik is fast and can break certain walls with a charging headbutt. Baleog fights enemies with his sword and bow. Olaf uses his shield to block attacks and can also serve as a platform for the others to jump from. The game is strictly screen by screen; you must get all three Vikings to the exit to proceed. It requires careful planning and timing, as a mistake with one character can leave the others stranded. The difficulty is consistent, demanding you think through each character's role in every situation. Finishing a tricky screen gives a real sense of accomplishment, like finally solving a stubborn riddle.
