If you're a LOTR fan with a GBA lying around, this one's a solid pick. It's basically a hack-and-slash trip through the first two movies—you'll swing swords as Aragorn, shoot arrows with Legolas, and even toss Gimli into crowds of orcs (which never gets old). The pixel art holds up surprisingly well, especially the big boss fights.
Combat's simple but satisfying—mash attack, dodge when you see an orc winding up, and unlock flashier moves as you level up. I remember getting stuck on the Balrog fight for way too long until I figured out the timing. Pro tip: Aragorn's parry is weirdly OP once you get the hang of it.
It's definitely a movie tie-in game, but way better than most. You can tell the devs actually cared about the source material.
