The Lord Of The Rings - The Third Age (u)(rising Sun) Game
📅 2004 ✍️ Electronic Arts

If you ever wanted to experience Middle-earth from the sidelines—not as Frodo or Aragorn, but as some poor schmucks stuck cleaning up their mess—The Third Age is your game. You lead this ragtag "Shadow Fellowship" chasing after the real heroes, fighting orcs and worse in turn-based battles that actually feel pretty solid for a GBA RPG.
At first, I thought it’d just be a cheap tie-in, but the combat’s got some depth—different stances, combos, even a weird morale system where your team freaks out if things go south. The sprite work’s decent too, especially when you’re trudging through Moria or Helm’s Deep. Just don’t expect deep storytelling; you’re basically playing fanfiction with swords.
It’s not Fellowship, but it’s a fun way to kill time if you’re stuck on a long bus ride with a GBA.
