Okay, so The Lion King 1½ on GBA is basically Timon and Pumbaa’s greatest hits—except you’re playing through them instead of just watching. The whole thing’s framed like they’re rewatching the original movie from their couch, cracking jokes, and then suddenly you’re controlling them in these weirdly fun platforming segments that run parallel to Simba’s story.
First level? Jungle vines. Obviously. Timon bounces around like he’s made of springs, and Pumbaa… well, let’s just say his charge attack is both hilarious and slightly tragic when you miss a jump. The art style nails that Disney charm, even on the tiny screen, and the music? Instant nostalgia trip. (Though good luck getting "Hakuna Matata" out of your head afterward.)
It’s not super hard, but some of those hyena chases will make you sweat. And yeah, the dialogue’s full of dumb puns—would it even be Timon and Pumbaa otherwise? If you grew up with the movie, this feels like hanging out with old friends who won’t stop quoting it.
