So The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning on GBA—this was my first real dive into Spyro’s more serious side. You start off as this little purple dragon with zero clue why everyone’s freaking out about you, and then bam—turns out you’re the chosen one in some ancient prophecy. Typical, right?
The game throws you into this war between dragons and Malefor’s forces, and you’ve got this black dragon, Cynder, causing chaos everywhere. Combat’s simple but satisfying—breath attacks, charging, the usual dragon stuff—but the story actually pulls you in. Like, Spyro’s not just burning sheep here; he’s trying to save his entire race.
It’s got that classic GBA charm, too—bright colors, chunky sprites, and just enough challenge to keep you from breezing through in one sitting. If you’re into handheld action-adventure games with a bit of weight behind them, this one’s a solid pick.
