About The King Of Fighters Ex - Neo Blood (u)(sir Vg)
I picked up The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, a time when getting a portable version of a SNK Playmore fighter was still a novelty. It was part of that wave of arcade conversions trying to fit big screen action onto a small cartridge, and this one promised a full KOF experience you could take anywhere.
You control a team of three fighters, selecting from a roster of familiar characters, and battle through a series of one on one matches. The main objective is to win the tournament by defeating all the other teams, culminating in a final boss. Signature mechanics include building up a power gauge to unleash super moves and the ability to call in your teammates for quick assist attacks. The pacing is fast, with matches that can end quickly if you're not careful, and the difficulty feels authentic to the series, demanding precise inputs.
