So The King of Fighters EX - Neo Blood on GBA is basically a pocket-sized version of the classic SNK brawler, but don’t let the small screen fool you—it’s got that same chaotic energy. You pick your team of three fighters (I always go for Terry, Mai, and Kyo because, well, fire punches), and then it’s just non-stop 2D beatdowns.
The story’s your usual tournament setup—some shady organization invites fighters, everyone’s suspicious but shows up anyway—but honestly, you’re here for the fights. The sprites are surprisingly crisp for a GBA game, and the controls are tight once you get used to the tiny shoulder buttons. Only downside? No Joe Higashi, which still feels like a crime.
If you’ve got a GBA and a thing for old-school fighters, this one’s a solid time-killer. Just maybe pack a magnifying glass.
