So The King of Fighters EX - Neo Blood is basically a pocket-sized version of SNK’s classic fighter, but don’t let the GBA fool you—it’s got some serious punch. You pick your team of three (I always go for Terry, Kyo, and Iori because, well, they wreck), then jump into this shady tournament where nobody knows who’s running it. Classic KOF drama.

The sprites are surprisingly crisp for a handheld, and the controls feel tight once you get used to the shoulder buttons for heavy attacks. Some of the supers are a pain to pull off mid-combo, but landing that first Raging Storm makes it worth the thumb cramps. The AI’s not messing around either—expect to get perfected a few times before you figure out the rhythm.

It’s not as deep as the arcade versions, but for a bus ride or waiting in line? Perfect. Just don’t blame me when you start absentmindedly doing quarter-circle motions during meetings.
