If you've ever wanted to wander through Middle-earth as Bilbo, this GBA game actually does a decent job of it. You'll jump across crumbling ruins, sneak past trolls (good luck with that), and swipe at goblins with Sting—though the combat feels a little stiff at first. The 3D-ish graphics were ambitious for the GBA, so don't expect anything mind-blowing, but the Shire's got charm, and stumbling into Gollum's cave still gives me the creeps. Just don't go in expecting a deep RPG—it's more about platforming and light puzzling between Tolkien's big story beats.
Honestly, it's a solid little adventure if you're into the book and can forgive some clunky controls.
