Remember when licensed games were either surprisingly good or hilariously bad? The Flintstones - Big Trouble in Bedrock lands somewhere in the middle—it's a side-scroller where you mostly punch dinosaurs and chuck rocks as Fred, which sounds ridiculous but weirdly works. The sprites are chunky and colorful, exactly how you'd imagine Bedrock would look if it was squeezed onto a GBA screen.
First few minutes go like this: You bumble through some caves, whack a few pterodactyls with your bare fists (because apparently cavemen box now), and occasionally switch to Barney for... reasons? It's not exactly deep, but there's something charming about how committed it is to being a dumb, loud brawler with Fred Flintstone's face plastered on it.
Definitely one of those "turn your brain off and enjoy the jank" kind of games. You'll either love it or wonder why it exists—no in-between.
