I picked up The Fairly OddParents Volume 1 for the Game Boy Advance, a 2004 release from THQ. It was one of many licensed games from that era, designed to capitalize on the show's popularity. You don't play a traditional game here; instead, you watch episodes from the animated series directly on the cartridge. The controls are minimal, mostly for navigating menus to select which episode to play. There are no levels to beat or characters to control in a gameplay sense.
The main objective is simply to watch the included cartoons. You use the D-pad to scroll through a list of episodes and press a button to start playback. The signature mechanic is the portability itself, having full episodes on a GBA cart. Since it's video, the pacing is fixed, and there is no difficulty.
