If you grew up watching The Fairly OddParents, this GBA game is basically a love letter to the show. You play as Timmy, running around Dimmsdale with Cosmo and Wanda’s help—except they keep bickering in the middle of fights, which is both annoying and weirdly accurate to the cartoon.
The whole thing feels like a lost episode, right down to the ridiculous villains (Dark Laser’s edgy phase never gets old). The levels are short and chaotic—one minute you’re dodging Vicky’s tantrums, the next you’re platforming through Fairy World while Cosmo “accidentally” turns everything into cheese. Classic.
It’s not the deepest game, but the humor and art style nail the show’s vibe. Just don’t expect the combat to be anything more than button-mashing with fairy wand sparkles. Still, for a licensed GBA title, it’s way more fun than it had any right to be.
