If you grew up with the Narnia books, this GBA game is a surprisingly solid little adaptation. You start off as the Pevensie kids stumbling through the wardrobe (yeah, that part’s non-negotiable), and within minutes you’re swapping between characters to solve basic puzzles—Lucy can squeeze through tight spaces, Peter smashes stuff with his sword, you get the idea.
The sprites are tiny but charming—Aslan actually looks regal despite being about six pixels tall. Combat’s simple button-mashing against wolves and whatnot, but the real draw is exploring familiar locations like Mr. Tumnus’s house or the frozen river. They nailed the atmosphere, right down to the slightly janky GBA rendition of "Narnia music."
It’s definitely a kids’ game at heart, but there’s something weirdly cozy about it. Just don’t expect deep lore—this is more "greatest hits" than full novel adaptation. Still, for a licensed GBA title, it could’ve been way worse.
