Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines on GBA is exactly what you'd expect—a no-nonsense, run-and-gun shooter where you blast through waves of Skynet bots as Arnold’s iconic T-800. The pixel art holds up surprisingly well, especially the explosions and those creepy red-eyed Terminator close-ups.
First mission drops you right into a warzone with that classic Terminator soundtrack (or at least a chiptune version of it). You’ve got your shotgun, your minigun, and a weirdly satisfying melee punch that sends robots flying. Some levels force you to think a little—like protecting civilians or sneaking past patrols—but mostly it’s about holding down the fire button and watching metal shrapnel fly everywhere.
It’s not deep, but it nails the vibe of being an unstoppable killing machine. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—this is pure early 2000s licensed game energy, for better or worse. If you’ve got a soft spot for the movies, it’s a fun way to waste an afternoon.
