Terminator 3 on the GBA is one of those early 2000s movie tie-ins that somehow manages to be way more fun than it has any right to be. You play as the T-850 (Arnie, obviously), blasting through levels filled with T-1 drones and those creepy liquid metal T-X terminators. The sprites are chunky but surprisingly detailed—you can actually tell it's Schwarzenegger's scowling face, which is impressive for a tiny GBA screen.
First few minutes throw you right into a highway chase with exploding trucks and gunfire everywhere. Controls are simple—run, shoot, occasionally punch a robot skull into scrap metal—but there's something satisfying about how weighty the Terminator feels when he moves. The soundtrack nails that metallic, industrial vibe too, with deep bass pulses that make your handheld rumble.
It's not perfect—some levels drag with repetitive enemies, and the camera occasionally fights you—but for a licensed game, it’s way better than the usual cash-grab mess. If you’ve got nostalgia for early 2000s action games, this one’s a solid blast from the past.
