Okay, so this is one of those old-school GBA tennis games based on the Prince of Tennis anime—you know, the one with all the ridiculously overpowered middle schoolers who hit impossible shots. Cool Blue is the 2003 version, and it’s exactly what you’d expect: arcade-style matches where characters pull off absurd special moves like laser beams or tornado serves.
Picked it up thinking it’d be a basic tennis sim, but nah—it’s more like a fighting game with rackets. Each character has their own gimmick, and half the fun is figuring out who’s broken (looking at you, Echizen). The controls are simple enough—tap for normal shots, hold for charged ones—but timing those super moves takes practice. Graphics are decent for GBA, though the courts all kinda blur together after a while.
If you’re into the anime or just want something silly to kill time, it’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect Wimbledon realism.
