Tang Tang on the GBA is one of those puzzle games that looks cute but will absolutely wreck your brain if you let it. You start off thinking, "Oh, these little block puzzles seem simple enough," and then suddenly you're staring at the screen for five minutes trying to figure out how to slide that last piece into place without trapping yourself.
The colors pop nicely on the GBA screen—bright blues and pinks everywhere—but don't let the cheerful look fool you. Some of these levels are brutal, especially when the game starts throwing in moving platforms and timed switches. I remember getting stuck on one stage where you have to rotate pieces mid-air, and let’s just say my Game Boy almost went flying.
If you like puzzles that make you feel clever when you finally solve them (after a lot of swearing), this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect to breeze through it in one sitting.
