Ever wanted to see your favorite Tales characters thrown into a classic dungeon crawler? That’s basically what Narikiri Dungeon 2 is—a weird little GBA spin-off where you pick a duo from the series (Lloyd and Colette, Stahn and Rutee, etc.) and dive into randomly generated floors. It’s got that old-school, grid-based movement where you inch forward, praying you don’t get ambushed by monsters around the next corner.
Combat’s simple but satisfying—you get a few basic attacks and skills, and positioning actually matters since you’re locked to tiles. The real fun comes from mixing and matching characters, seeing how their abilities play off each other. I went with Reid and Farah first, which… wasn’t the smartest choice, but hey, at least I learned the hard way.
It’s definitely niche, but if you’re into Tales fanservice or just want a quick dungeon fix on the go, this one’s a neat little time capsule.
