This TMNT GBA game is way better than most movie tie-ins—it actually captures the vibe of the 2007 CGI flick. You jump between the turtles mid-combo, which sounds gimmicky but works surprisingly well when you're bouncing from Leo's sword slashes to Raph's sai throws. The levels are these sprawling cityscapes with just enough hidden sewer paths to make exploration feel rewarding.

First time I played, I kept forgetting to switch turtles and ate dirt against the Foot Clan. Once it clicks though, chaining their moves together feels slick—Donnie's staff reach saves you when Mikey's nunchucks leave you open. Boss fights are where the teamwork really shines, especially against that weird stone general guy from the movie.

It's not perfect—some of the platforming can be janky—but for a GBA beat-em-up, it holds up way better than it had any right to.
