I picked up TMNT for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003, a Konami release that felt right at home on the handheld. The main goal is to fight through levels, beat up Foot Clan ninjas, and take down bosses like Shredder. The game uses a screen by screen exploration style; you clear one area of enemies before moving to the next. You also collect special items to unlock new moves and health upgrades, which gives you a reason to backtrack through earlier stages. The pacing is fairly quick, though some enemy patterns can be tricky to learn. It feels like a straightforward brawler that respects your time, delivering a satisfying dose of cartoon action.
