Sweet Ange (japan) Game

Sweet Ange is one of those obscure Japan-only Game Boy Color RPGs that slipped under the radar—probably because the whole thing’s in Japanese. You play as this angel girl (I think? The kanji’s a bit rough) running around a pastel-colored world, fighting monsters with turn-based combat that’s pretty standard for the era.
First ten minutes: You’re dropped into some fluffy clouds, picking between a few weapons that all look suspiciously like candy canes. The sprites are cute, but good luck figuring out the menus if you don’t know the language. Still, there’s charm in the weird little enemy designs—imagine battling sentient cupcakes with googly eyes.
It’s the kind of game you boot up for the vibe, not the deep mechanics. The music’s got that classic GBC chiptune cheeriness, at least.
