Surf's Up on the GBA is one of those movie tie-ins that actually gets the vibe right. You pick from a bunch of birds—like Cody or Big Z—and hit the waves in short, arcadey surfing runs. The controls are simple (mostly timing your jumps and tricks), but nailing a perfect combo feels surprisingly satisfying.
What I didn’t expect? The water physics are kinda decent for a GBA game. Wipeouts look ridiculous in that low-res charm, and the different beaches actually change how you approach each run. It’s not deep, but for a quick play between bus rides, it’s weirdly addictive. Just don’t go in expecting a surfing sim.
