Supercross Freestyle on Game Boy Color is one of those games that looks simple at first—just a pixelated dirt bike and some ramps—but then you hit your first jump and realize how much chaos you can cause. The controls are surprisingly tight for a GBC racer, letting you pull off backflips and mid-air spins if you time it right (or faceplant spectacularly if you don’t).

What I love is how the tracks get progressively meaner—one minute you’re cruising over basic hills, the next you’re threading between flaming barrels or bouncing off half-pipes. The physics feel just janky enough to be fun without being unfair. And yeah, the graphics are pure late-90s handheld charm, all chunky sprites and dirt clouds that somehow make crashes look cool.

It’s the kind of game where you’ll retry the same jump five times just to nail a stupidly risky trick. Perfect for quick sessions when you want that old-school arcade motocross vibe.
