Supercross Freestyle on the Game Boy Color is one of those old-school motocross games where you’re basically just trying to pull off ridiculous jumps and not faceplant. The controls are simple—hold down to build speed, release to launch off ramps—but timing the flips and landings takes some practice. I wiped out a lot at first.

It’s got that classic GBC look, with chunky pixel bikes and dirt tracks that scroll by way too fast. The music’s exactly what you’d expect: upbeat, slightly grating synth beats that somehow fit perfectly. There’s a weird charm to how janky the physics feel when you bail mid-backflip.

Not gonna lie, it’s barebones compared to modern stuff, but if you’re into retro sports games, it’s a fun little time-killer. Just don’t expect a deep career mode or anything.
