Super Space Invaders was a Sega Master System release from 1990, developed by Domark. It arrived late in the console's life, a time when many players were already looking toward the 16-bit generation. This version tried to bring the arcade classic into the home with some new ideas.

You control a laser cannon that moves side to side along the bottom of the screen. Your objective is to destroy all the alien invaders before they land or your shields are destroyed. The game introduces a power-up system where you shoot a specific alien to reveal a bonus item, like a spread shot or a temporary shield. The aliens move in a slow, methodical formation, but their descent speeds up as their numbers thin, creating a real tension.
