Super Robot Taisen A on the GBA is one of those classic mech strategy RPGs where you get to throw giant robots at each other in turn-based battles. The roster’s stacked with units from different anime series—some you’ll recognize, others you’ll just think look cool. At first, the grid-based combat feels a little slow, but once your pilots start leveling up and unlocking flashy special attacks, it gets way more satisfying.
Early on, you’re juggling upgrades between your squad, trying not to get wrecked by surprise reinforcements (they love doing that). The sprite work holds up surprisingly well for a GBA title, especially when the attacks kick in with those crunchy little animations. If you’re into tactical games with a ton of customization, this one’s a solid time sink.
