Super Puzzle Fighter Ii (u)(independent) Game

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is basically Tetris on steroids, but with Capcom’s fighting game characters crammed into tiny, adorable chibi forms. You drop colored blocks, match gems to build up massive combos, and then watch as your little Ryu or Chun-Li smashes the opponent’s screen with ridiculous over-the-top attacks.
At first, it seems simple—just clear gems, right? But then you realize the real strategy is in setting up those huge chain reactions while your opponent’s screen slowly fills with garbage blocks. The sprite work is super charming, and hearing Morrigan giggle while she obliterates your grid never gets old.
It’s one of those games where you lose an hour without noticing because you keep saying “one more match.” The GBA version holds up surprisingly well, even if the screen’s a bit cramped.
