About Super Duper Sumos (u)(rising Sun)
Super Duper Sumos came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Rising Sun. It was part of that wave of GBA games that tried to capture the feel of arcade-style brawlers in your pocket, a straightforward action game without a lot of fuss.
You control one of several sumo wrestlers, moving through single-screen arenas to knock your opponents out of the ring. The main goal is to clear each stage by being the last one standing. Key mechanics include charging up a powerful dash attack and grabbing opponents to throw them. The game moves quickly, with matches that are short but demand good timing to avoid getting tossed yourself. It feels like a chaotic, lighthearted scramble where a single well-placed shove can turn the whole fight around.
