Super Duper Sumos is one of those weird little GBA gems that shouldn’t work but totally does. You play as these three goofy sumo wrestlers—Booma, Kimo, and Mamoo—who basically bounce, belly-flop, and slam their way through levels to stop some villain called The Big Cheese (yes, really). The controls are simple—mostly charging and dodging—but the real fun comes from the absurd power-ups. One minute you’re tossing sushi as a projectile, the next you’re rolling around like a human bowling ball.
The art style nails that early 2000s cartoon vibe, all bright colors and exaggerated animations. It’s not deep, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about knocking enemies off rooftops or into traffic. If you played the show as a kid, it’s pure nostalgia; if not, it’s still a solid pick for quick, chaotic matches. Just don’t expect a serious fighter—this is all about dumb, weighty fun.
