Okay, so this is one of those old-school Game Boy adaptations of A New Hope—and yeah, it’s exactly as janky and charming as you’d expect. You start off as Luke blasting TIEs in a side-scrolling shooter segment (good luck hitting anything with that tiny screen), then suddenly you’re platforming through the Death Star with a lightsaber that feels weirdly stubby. The controls take some getting used to—jumping’s a bit floaty, and stormtroopers love to respawn right where you just cleared them—but there’s something weirdly satisfying about it once you get the rhythm down.
Also, the music is just bleepy Game Boy versions of the classic themes, which somehow makes it even more nostalgic. Just don’t expect it to play like a modern Star Wars game—this is pure 90s handheld adaptation chaos. You’ll either love it or throw your Game Boy across the room.
