Okay, so Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy is one of those weird little GBA crossovers where Spyro and Crash Bandicoot somehow end up in each other’s worlds. It’s not the deepest platformer, but it’s got that classic Spyro charm—colorful levels, fire-breathing, and a surprising amount of minigames crammed into a tiny cartridge.
You start off chasing Crash’s nemesis, Cortex, through these bite-sized stages, collecting gems and doing the usual Spyro stuff—gliding, torching enemies, the works. The controls are simple, but some of the later jumps get frustratingly precise for a handheld game. And yeah, the graphics are obviously GBA-level, but the art style holds up better than you’d expect.
Honestly, it’s a fun little time capsule if you’re into early 2000s handheld nostalgia. Just don’t go in expecting a full Spyro adventure—it’s more like a snack-sized spinoff with some Crash cameos.
