Remember those old MAD Magazine comics with the black and white spies constantly sabotaging each other? This Game Boy Color version nails that chaotic energy perfectly. You pick a spy, then it’s a mad dash through an embassy—setting traps, grabbing items, and praying your opponent doesn’t step on the landmine you just hid behind a door. The first time I played, I spent way too long laughing at the ridiculous animations when someone gets hit by a falling anvil.
It’s got that classic split-screen setup where you can see your spy’s half of the building while your friend (or the AI) wreaks havoc on theirs. The briefcase scramble at the end gets intense—nothing like barely making it to the exit only to realize the other spy booby-trapped the stairs. The graphics are simple but full of personality, and the music’s got that bouncy GBC charm. Just don’t expect deep strategy; it’s pure, silly fun with just enough thinking to keep you from rage-quitting after the third exploding chandelier.
