Okay, so this is the GBA version of that Spongebob game where everyone's trying to put on a show—except, of course, nothing goes smoothly. You bounce between Bikini Bottom locations like the Krusty Krab and Jellyfish Fields, switching between Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, and Squidward as you go. Each one handles differently—Sandy’s lasso actually comes in handy for once, and Squidward… well, he’s still kinda slow, but at least he can jump higher.
It’s got that classic early 2000s platformer feel—some levels are straightforward, others have you hunting for props or dodging Plankton’s nonsense. The art’s bright and cartoony, though the GBA screen does muddy some of the colors. Not gonna lie, the controls take a minute to get used to, especially if you’re swapping characters mid-level. But once it clicks, it’s weirdly satisfying to nail those jumps as Patrick, even when he’s just flopping around like a confused starfish.
Definitely one for fans of the show—half the fun is hearing those tiny GBA versions of the voices yelling "I’m ready!" when you pick Spongebob.
