Okay, so SpongeBob: Battle for Bikini Bottom on GBA is basically like playing through a lost episode of the show—if that episode had you jumping on robot jellyfish and collecting golden spatulas. You start off in SpongeBob’s pineapple (of course), and within minutes, Plankton’s dumb bots are wrecking everything. Classic.
The controls are simple—run, jump, bubble-bash—but the levels have that weird SpongeBob charm. Like, one minute you’re flipping patties at the Krusty Krab, the next you’re dodging giant sandworms in Sand Mountain. Patrick’s there too, mostly getting in the way, but you can swap to him or Sandy when you need their dumb strength or lasso skills.
It’s not super hard, but finding all the hidden socks and spatulas gives it some replay value. And yeah, the music’s annoyingly catchy—you’ll hum the jellyfish fields tune for days. If you ever watched the show as a kid (or still do, no judgment), this one’s a nostalgia trip worth taking.
