SpongeBob Games: SpongeMania is one of those simple but weirdly addictive little runners where you’re just trying to grab as much stuff as possible before the other characters do. You’ll be hopping over jellyfish, sliding under obstacles, and—of course—snagging those golden spatulas like your life depends on it.

The controls are straightforward (tap to jump, swipe to slide), but the real fun is in the chaos when you and three other players are all scrambling for the same loot. I kept getting wrecked by Patrick at first because he’s weirdly fast for a guy who sleeps under a rock. Still, once you get the timing down, it’s satisfying to pull off a last-second steal.

It’s not deep, but it’s a solid way to kill a few minutes if you want something colorful and silly. Just don’t blame me when you get salty over losing to Plankton for the tenth time.
