Spider-Man 2 on GBA is one of those weird little handheld adaptations that somehow works. It's not exactly like the movie—more like a stripped-down, 2D sandbox where you swing around a tiny New York beating up thugs and doing random missions. The swinging feels surprisingly decent for a Game Boy game, though you'll definitely eat pavement a few times before getting the timing right.
What's funny is how much they crammed in here—you can web-zip up buildings, hijack cars (bad Spidey!), and even unlock the black suit later. The city's small but dense, and there's something oddly satisfying about webbing muggers to lampposts in 16-bit. Just don't expect the open-world depth of the console versions.
It's janky in that classic GBA way, but way more ambitious than most movie tie-ins.
