So, Sonic Chaos—this was the third Sonic game on the Master System and Game Gear, and honestly, it’s a weird little gem. You’ve got the usual loop-de-loops and badnik-smashing, but it feels scrappier than the Genesis games. The levels are shorter, the physics are a bit floaty, and Tails is actually playable here (unlike the first Master System Sonic).

First thing you’ll notice? The sprites are tiny, but weirdly charming. The first zone’s got these bright, blocky palm trees and springs that send you flying way higher than you’d expect. And yeah, the special stages are just… a grid where you hop for chaos emeralds. Not exactly mind-blowing, but it’s got that early-90s jank I kinda love.
