About Sonic Chaos (europe)
Sonic Chaos came out for the Sega Master System, published by Sega. It was one of the later Sonic games on the 8-bit systems, arriving after the more famous Genesis titles had already set a high bar.
You control Sonic or Tails, running through loops, bouncing off springs, and collecting rings across several themed zones. The main goal is to stop Dr. Robotnik from stealing the Chaos Emeralds. Two mechanics stand out: you can find special sneakers for a massive speed boost, and Sonic gets a new spin dash move to rev up and launch himself forward from a standstill. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty is fairly manageable, making it less punishing than some earlier 8-bit entries. It feels quick and straightforward, a solid pick for a short burst of platforming.
