Sky Dancers - They Magically Fly! (e)(sir Vg) Game

Sky Dancers on the GBA is one of those weirdly charming early 2000s licensed games—you know, based on those winged fairy dolls that actually spun into the air? Yeah, that toy line. The game's basically a side-scroller where you flutter around collecting gems and dodging obstacles, with this floaty, almost dreamy movement that makes it feel different from your typical platformer.
At first I thought it'd be super basic, but there's something oddly satisfying about the way your fairy drifts through these pastel-colored levels, weaving between floating islands and enemy critters. The controls take a minute to get used to—you don’t just jump, you kinda hover and glide. Mess up a landing, and you’ll tumble straight into a pit, which happened to me way too often early on.
It’s not deep, but there’s a weird nostalgia kick if you remember the toys. Also, the music’s oddly peaceful for a game about magical girl combat. Worth a look if you’re into obscure GBA oddities.
