Okay, so Simple 2960 Tomodachi Series Vol. 2: The Block Kuzushi is one of those GBA games that looks basic at first glance—just break blocks, right?—but ends up weirdly satisfying. The controls are stupidly simple (d-pad and A button, that’s it), but timing your shots to clear the screen before the blocks crush you gets tense fast.

It’s got that early 2000s vibe—bright colors, chunky pixels, and a soundtrack that’s equal parts cheerful and repetitive (in a good way). I thought it’d be mindless, but some levels actually make you pause and plan your shots.
