Shrek the Third on GBA is exactly what you'd expect—a side-scrolling beat 'em up with that classic early 2000s movie tie-in energy. You mostly just plow through waves of enemies as Shrek, Donkey, or Puss in Boots, smacking guards and fairy tale baddies with basic combos. The sprites are chunky and colorful, though the levels feel a bit repetitive after a while.
Honestly, it’s not deep, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about mashing buttons as Shrek while Fiona yells encouragement from the sidelines. The music’s got that goofy medieval tavern vibe too. If you’re nostalgic for the movie or just want a simple, dumb brawler, it’s a decent time-waster.
