Shrek the Third for the Game Boy Advance came out in 2007, published by Activision. It was one of many movie tie-ins on the system, arriving when the handheld was still a popular platform for these kinds of side-scrolling adventures. You step into Shrek's shoes, or lack thereof, right after the king's death, with the reluctant ogre needing to find the rightful heir, Arthur.
You control Shrek through a series of side-scrolling levels, using a simple sword attack to fend off fairy tale foes.
