Shrek the Third on GBA is exactly what you'd expect—a goofy, lighthearted side-scroller where you mostly whack stuff as Shrek, Donkey, or Puss. The sprites are chunky and colorful, and the levels are packed with dumb little jokes straight from the movies (Fiona's karate-chopping pumpkins never gets old).
You'll bounce between basic combat—swinging swords, tossing barrels—and some painfully easy "puzzles" like stacking crates. It's not exactly deep, but swapping between characters keeps it from getting stale too fast. Donkey's double jump feels weirdly floaty, but Puss' sword combos are satisfying when you pull them off.
Honestly? It's a solid pick if you're craving some mindless Shrek nostalgia. Just don't expect any surprises—this is pure licensed game comfort food. The fairy godmother boss fight still cracks me up every time.
