Shrek SuperSlam is basically Smash Bros. but with ogres, fairytale creatures, and way more swamp gas. You pick from a roster of Shrek characters—Donkey’s weirdly fast, Fiona hits like a truck, and Puss in Boots has this annoying little sword swipe that always catches you off guard. The stages are chaotic, like the Poison Apple Pub where tables break under you mid-fight, or Far Far Away with its ridiculous traffic hazards.
It’s janky in that early 2000s licensed-game way, but there’s something weirdly fun about body-slamming Prince Charming into a pile of hay bales. The GBA version’s a bit stripped down, but it still has that same energy—just don’t expect online play or anything fancy. If you’ve got friends nearby and a soft spot for Shrek memes, it’s a dumb good time.
