Shanghai on the Sega Master System is basically digital mahjong solitaire—you know, the one where you match identical tiles to clear the board. It’s simple at first glance, but some of the later layouts get surprisingly tricky when you’re down to the last few pairs. The controls are clunky by modern standards (it is an 8-bit port), but there’s something satisfying about slowly chipping away at those stacked tiles. If you’ve got nostalgia for old-school puzzle games, this one’s a decent time-waster.
