Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures is one of those weird little GBA games you stumble across and think, "Wait, they made a killer whale simulator?" And yeah, they did. You control Shamu (or sometimes a dolphin) through these underwater obstacle courses, collecting fish and doing flips while avoiding mines and nets. The controls take a second to get used to—tapping buttons for speed bursts feels awkward at first, but once you get the rhythm, pulling off jumps through hoops is weirdly satisfying.
The levels get surprisingly tough later on, with tight timings and obstacles that'll wreck you if you don't plan your moves ahead. Graphics are simple but colorful, and the whole thing has this oddly relaxing vibe between the chiptune ocean sounds and the way Shamu glides through the water. Not gonna lie, it's janky in places, but there's something charming about it. If you're into obscure retro animal games, this one's a fun little time capsule.
